Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC) hosted another successful Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations (NEPO) summit on August 23-24, 2019. Keynote speakers included State Senator Richard Pan, M.D., and Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, M.D. We also heard from other noted speakers such as Dr. Deborah Deas, Dean of the University of California Riverside School of Medicine. Participants also discussed social determinants of health and issues impacting communities of color. Next year’s NEPO summit is already lining up to be just as impactful! PHC will release the 2020 date and location in January, so stay tuned! If you are interested in becoming a NEPO member or learning more, visit www.phcdocs.org/nepo or email NEPO@phcdocs.org to be added to our email list.
